The Perkin CL2 Convolute Labeller is designed to label small production runs of composite can bodies and cardboard tubes. By employing a mandrel inside the tube and a pressure roller it is easy to succeed with even difficult labels.
Labeller
The CL2 is a semi-automatic machine. A batch of, say 10-20 tubes is fed automatically from a hopper whilst the operator manually feeds the labels. The tubes are automatically fed onto a mandrel and the label is taken over the glue roller and directly onto the tube under the action of a soft pressure roller. The labelled tube is then automatically ejected, suitably for automatic further handling. As an optional extra, sets of knives can be mounted so that the labelled tubes can be cut directly to the short can lengths.
